Thankful for Answers and Open Doors

Greetings!

When an airplane begins to enter a "stall," which simply means there's not enough airflow over its wings to keep it flying, there's a moment called the "buffet." Now, don't be imagining a plate piled a foot high with chicken wings and applesauce and mashed potatoes and Jello squares. And don't start singing Jimmy Buffett's "Margaritaville" in your head. (Now you're doing it, aren't you?)

I'm referring instead to a violent shaking and jolting of the aircraft; the buffet that signals a final warning, giving the pilot notice to make corrections before it's too late. That buffet is a very good thing, a gift really, because it provides opportunity to avoid catastrophe.

We shared with you a few weeks ago about a property we had our eye on; the possibilities were very exciting, but it would have been a big undertaking. Our prayer was that the Lord would clearly show us what to do, and He did. Thank you for praying with us. We felt His buffet, unmistakably, shaking us out of our wide-eyed optimism and helping us wake up to the reality of what would have been a bad decision.

He's so faithful! We're just as grateful for the "no" answers as we are for the "yeses." Please keep praying, as God continues to open doors and invite us to listen for His will.

Speaking of open doors, we've been blessed by a few organizations lately who have given us opportunities to share about Abide: Yavapai-Apache Nation's Health Fair, Camp Verde Community Church's Women's Tea, and Calvary Chapel Chino Valley's Women's Luncheon. We love talking about the miraculous things God has done and continues to do in our little ministry. Meeting so many amazing people is the cherry on top!

Lastly, we've been published nationally (possibly internationally!). Click here to read the article in Pregnancy Help News:

Ok, this is the end. Now you can get back to searching for your lost shaker lost of salt. :-)

Many blessings to you, Michele Evans
