Surrendering the Secret

Greetings!

"I've never told anyone before." I can't tell you how many times I've heard a woman make that statement, through tears, as she confesses a past abortion. Often, more than one. She wears the pain and guilt on her face. She's been burdened, wounded, sometimes depressed, for years. One woman had been silently bearing her secret for 50 years. Most secrets are not good, but destructive. When you carry a secret, something you don't want others to know about you, do you feel free? I'd guess not. I know I don't. BUT "...if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." In John 8:36, Jesus reveals a better alternative to carrying a secret: Surrendering the Secret - and being free indeed. It's time.
