Greetings!
In our last note, Kelly shared about a client whose stated need was for fellowship. I don't know about you, but I found that to be a profound declaration from a young mama who must have a long list of tangible needs - and yet her heart's desire was for companionship and connection. Just a few days ago, I learned of more young moms expressing the same longing for relationship. I thought back to my own days as a new parent, and remembered the feelings of loneliness, disconnect, and exhaustion. I remember feeling like I didn't have time to connect with friends, even wondering if it would be selfish to prioritize my own need for social interaction with other adults. For some reason, I craved conversation containing words of more than one syllable with people who could actually blow their own nose! I think we all know and have experienced the need for quality friendships, especially when our family was young. It's not selfish at all to spend time developing a support system; quite the contrary. Studies reveal the amazing emotional and even physical benefits of consistent, positive social engagement.

In response to the need, we're planning a time of fun and fellowship for our new #momsMATTER group on Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm at the Jewel House, 2nd & Head Street, Camp Verde. Dinner will be provided and kiddos are welcome to come along too. If you don't have young children, please forward this on to someone who does, who you think might be interested. If you are planning to attend our party :-), please RSVP by email or comment through Instagram or Facebook so that we can have plenty of dinner on hand. As always, we're grateful for you!
In Him, Michele
